WELCOME TO OUR FIRST ENGLISH PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSE!!!



RULES YOU MUST RESPECT IN CLASS


  1. Be always punctual
  2. You should always wear the right type of clothing:
    a pair of shorts or sweatpants,
    a T-shirt
    some good trainers.
  3. Take off rings and earrings: it could be dangerous for you and your mates
  4. Sit down until your teacher check your attendance
  5. If your teacher put her hand up, please be quiet, she wants to explain something to you
  6. When the class finishes, you should have a shower or at least, wash your hands and your face, change your sweated clothes and put on a clean T- shirt

WARM UP

We can define a warm-up as all the light exercises done before practising sport or doing a stronger physical activity in order:
  • to adapt our muscles and reduce the risk of injuries
  • to improve performance

  



PARTS OF A WARM UP

General warm-up: the purpose of this part is to get all the parts of the body moving
a/ Movements of your joints

b/ Small run at low speed

c/ Stretching of the main muscles: strech and hold about 20' each position

Specific warm-up: exercices similar to the sport you are going to play later, You should begin at a low speed and with moderate intensity.



COOLING DOWN

Cooling down is an easy exercice we do after practicing a sport or an stronger physical activity.
It allows the heart rate to return to its resting rate.
Cooling down can involve a slow walk, stretching or relaxing activities.

VOCABULARY FIRST TERM:

-Warm up: calentamiento
-Cooling down: vuelta a la calma
-To run: correr

-To jump: saltar con los dos pies
